Lincoln Mason, the former owner and administrator of Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt, Iowa, studied mortuary science at Xavier University. He ran the family business from 2000 to 2018, succeeding his father in carrying on the family’s rich tradition of honoring those who have died with befitting sendoffs. As a leader, Lincoln Mason executed technical and administrative duties at the funeral home. He coordinated funeral activities and even provided counseling to family members who had lost loved ones.

Before taking over Mason-Lindhart in 2000, Lincoln Mason learned the business from his father for seven years. He learned the practical aspects of the business, building on the knowledge he had acquired as an undergraduate student. Earlier, Lincoln Mason completed a one-year internship with Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Mr. Mason received the Iowa Funeral Directors Award of Excellence and has been two-time president of the Rotary Club. A licensed pilot, he enjoys flying airplanes in his free time. Mr. Mason also enjoys scuba diving and has an advanced SCUBA certification.
